FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQs

There are many factors that can affect the drying time of your carpet. Carpet material and type, humidity, and air flow are all examples of these factors. Your carpet can take from 12 to 24 hours to be completely dry. However, most carpets are dry within 3 to 6 hours. If necessary, you can walk on your carpet right away, but try to avoid it as much as possible right after cleaning. It is best to avoid heavy traffic on the carpet during the drying process. In addition, keep your pets off the carpet while it is drying. Some carpets may feel slightly damp for up to 18 hours depending on the carpet and soil conditions. This is normal and will not cause any problems. You should wait 24 hours before removing any foam blocks or protective barriers that our technicians have placed under your furniture to protect the carpet.

We strive for customer satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied, please let us know, and we will do our best to make you happy in a timely manner.

Many things make their way into your carpet, such as outdoor pollutants, allergens, dust mites, chemical contamination, sand, soil, good, bacteria, bio-contaminants, and much more. Carpets and fabrics that are not properly cleaned and maintained have the potential to cause a variety of health problems in your home.

Most manufacturers will recommend having your carpets professionally cleaned at least once every 12 months. However, that number depend on many different use factors, such as traffic, the frequency of vacuuming, having pets and children, and whether the carpet is light or dark. Stain protecting, also known as Scotchgarding, also makes a difference in how often you clean your carpets. Many of clients prefer having their carpets cleaned twice a year.

The method we use for cleaning is hot-water extraction, commonly referred to as steam cleaning. Our exclusive hot-water extraction method removes the toughest, deepest dirt safely and gently. Hot, soft water and a specially formulated cleaning solution are injected deep within the carpet fibers. Then, a powerful suction extracts deep-down dirt, allergens, cleaning solution, and 95 percent of the moisture. It’s the cleaning method most recommended by carpet manufacturers.

The problem results from residues being left in the carpet that attract dirt. Usually, this is caused by using soap in the cleaning process that hasn’t been rinsed out completely. Our specially formulated solution and hot-water extraction cleaning process leaves little to no residue behind to attract dirt.

Although most spots that are removed from carpet do not reappear, some substances in carpet backing may wick to the surface after cleaning. If this happens, please contact us immediately.

We cannot guarantee that we will remove all spots or stains. There are substances that can permanently discolor the carpet fibers. The age of the carpet and the type of carpet fibers also plays a factor in this. The technician will try to determine if this is the case prior to cleaning, but they are not always able to determine this before trying to remove the spots.

We cannot guarantee that the cleaning will get rid of all the fleas. We usually recommend that the customer kills the adult fleas first by whatever method they prefer. This is something that a professional exterminator might be able to assist with. Keep in mind that the carpet is not the only place fleas will lay eggs, you might consider having your upholstery treated and cleaned as well as any area rugs or pet beds.

Your specific upholstery fabric will determine which cleaning method we use. While the cleaning method along with optional protector application determines the drying time, typical dry time ranges from six to 12 hours.
